Speaker 1:

Welcome back to the Pure Possibilities podcast. Thank you so much for joining me. I know it's been a couple of days and I had every intention of continuing on with being where do I begin? Miniseries in consecutive days. However, some things had come up this week and unfortunately I wasn't able to make that happen. But I am here now and sometimes we need to allow ourselves some grace and honor ourselves and our feelings, and I've had some things going on Today.

Speaker 1:

I wanted to take the opportunity to talk a little bit about Pure Possibilities. I know I talk about it a little bit in the intro and I know that I shared about it in my private Facebook community during my launch party, but I don't know that I've actually talked about it on the podcast. So Pure Possibilities came about when I was in my life coaching certification program and we would do a weekly Q&A with my mentor, mandy Morris, and she would always put a thing out and we could type in questions that she would answer on the weekly Q&A. I never asked any questions until there was one time I was like I spend a lot of time by myself and I'm not super duper excited, bouncing off the wall and I'm not really down in the dumps or anything. I'm just kind of neutral, but I'm generally in a pretty high vibration, a pretty high energy, but when I'm by myself, I'm not, I'm just kind of being, and so I was curious about that because I was like that okay, what does that mean? And her response was you're really in a state of pure possibility where anything is possible. You could go up or you can go down and just allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling, because our feelings are feedback, and I loved that. I loved that so much that I not only named my podcast, that I also had named my business, pure Possibilities because when we allow ourselves to really get in tune with what's going on with us and our feelings and truly, truly utilize them as feedback, it can help us navigate through all the things that life is throwing at us.

Speaker 1:

My intention every day is to feel as good as I can throughout the day, and that's one of the reasons why I encourage people to use the alarms throughout their day to create those mindful moments and to have a feel-good list so that when you need to interrupt whatever might be going on in your day, it's not to suppress the things that are going on, it's to allow you to create some space between your spiraling thoughts or a situation that's going on, to take a step back, a more level-headed space. So I don't expect myself. I know that we all can't feel good 100% of every single day, every minute of every single day, but why wouldn't we want to feel good as much of the time as we possibly can? And when you can create the alignment between your head and your heart and really just truly live in the present moment of every single day with so much love in your heart, why wouldn't you want that?

Speaker 1:

I often find that people are resistant, and I think that when we resist things, sometimes that's an even better reason to lean into it and ask yourself why am I so resistant to feeling good? Why? Why would I not want to feel good? Is it because I think I don't deserve it? Is it because there's so much going on around me that it's not possible? I don't have the time, I can't do things for myself, I don't matter, I'm not important enough to feel good. Well, I have to call you out on that, because it's not true. It's simply not true.

Speaker 1:

I would say that is our ego stepping in, trying to sabotage, because you do deserve to feel good. Everybody does. You are worth it. You absolutely deserve to feel good as often as you possibly can and why wouldn't you want to? And knowing that you have that within you and you can create that for yourself without looking outside of yourself, how powerful is that? To know that you can choose. You can choose how you want your day to go. You can choose how you want to feel all throughout your day. You can choose how you're going to respond to things. If something comes up that you want to just stop and take a minute and just take a deep breath before you respond, so that you're responding rather than reacting. We can all do that for ourselves. So I just wanted to remind you of that today.

Speaker 1:

I believe that we are all here to learn and grow and expand and just live in a space of curiosity. Why is this going on? What can I learn from this? How can I take this obstacle that is in my way and learn how to navigate through it? Or what can I learn from this situation that's going on? What can I learn about myself? What can I learn about the people that are in my life? Get curious and ask questions. There's an answer to every question If you're open to receiving it. In. The easiest way to allow yourself to receive those answers is to be in alignment with yourself, by taking those moments and connecting with yourself throughout your day. Allow yourself to feel what you're feeling. Our goal here is never to suppress. It's not to suppress, it's to create space to be a little more clear-headed with things.

Speaker 1:

I'm a crier. I cry happy tears and I cry sad tears, but I allow myself to feel whatever I'm feeling. If I'm angry and pissed off, I let myself feel it. If I'm happy and excited, I allow myself to feel it, but I definitely cry. I cry happy tears, I cry sad tears, and when I was told one time that water is a flow of energy, it's okay to allow myself to do that. Literally be having a conversation with me, and I'll get to your eighth.

Speaker 1:

I have a friend of mine, katie, who was on the show a few weeks ago. We did an episode together and she's doing a continuing education for her life coaching and she asked if I'd be willing to participate in a session with her and of course I said yes, and so we had that session the other day and it was a beautiful session and I won't go into all the details, but it's pretty amazing how sometimes somebody can say just one thing to you and it can really just hit because I've had some things going on. I feel like I'm constantly doing all of these things, working full-time. I have my business. I started this podcast, which I absolutely love doing, and finding the things that I love doing, the things that make me feel good, and when they fill me up and light me up and I feel this amazing energy, I know that I am on the right path and doing exactly what I meant to be doing.

Speaker 1:

But there are also times where I feel like I'm not doing quite enough. But yet I have people say to me how do you do all of that? And then I'm sitting here thinking sometimes I could be doing more, because we all do it. Like I said, I am human and I have those ups and downs. I just don't stay there very long. So, anyway, we were having this conversation and she said to me you've already taken the leap, and so then I started thinking about all of the things. I just started crying. I totally started crying when she said that, and then I started reflecting back on 2023 and what an incredibly powerful year it was for me and how much growth and expansion I had in the year, and we started talking about writing out a list of things to celebrate.

Speaker 1:

And so today I would invite you to make a list of things that you're proud of yourself for. Make it a list of 10 or 20 things. The first thing that pops up just it could be small things. I mean I haven't like. We work 10,000 steps a day for a year. For some people that's not a big deal. For me, that was a pretty big, freaking deal, you know. And launching a podcast, that was a pretty big deal. I never would have thought that I would do that. The fact that I had a friend invite me to speak at an event and I just immediately said yes and didn't take, that's huge for me.

Speaker 1:

People don't always understand how difficult it can be for me to do something like that, and it's something I'm continually aware of and working through. But make a list of the things that you're proud of yourself for, because whatever journey you're on, whether it's a health journey or a personal development journey, you're just honestly navigating through life. I don't think we take enough time to really acknowledge our wins and the things that we're proud of ourself for. Because it seems like in society, doing anything for yourself is selfish, and I completely disagree with that, because when you can fill up your own cup and do things for yourself, it helps all of your relationships. Honestly, it really does and just makes you feel better about yourself and life and all of that. So I'd invite you to do that today. Make your list, honor your feelings, honor your ups and your downs and, wherever you're at, give yourself some compassion with wherever you're at and do the things that feel good for you and your life. Thanks so much for listening. Have a beautiful, beautiful day. Make month with love.
