Speaker 1:

Welcome back to the Pure Possibilities podcast. Wasn't sure what I wanted to talk about today. I have a couple of thoughts, but I thought I'd start with pulling a card from the Magic of what If? Card deck. And if you haven't grabbed your Magic of what If card deck, they're available on my website, purepossibilitiespodcastcom. So you should get one, because they are amazing and I love them. I pull one every day. The other day I pulled a what if I allow the universe to surprise and delight me, and it totally did multiple times that day. It's kind of fun, all right.

Speaker 1:

Today's card is what if I unapologetically step into my authenticity? You know the word authenticity, I feel like it's used a lot, and what does that really mean? What does that really mean for me? That means that I am able to be my true self, no matter who I'm around. I am just me, and for a long time I've talked about this, that I didn't really know who that was, and so I continue to this day to try new things, put myself out of my comfort zone and figure out who I am. Remember who I am and just be me. And some people like that and some people don't, and that's okay. Everybody doesn't have to like me. Everybody doesn't have to like you. You know, we can love people and not necessarily want to be around them or have them in our life, and that's okay. You can love people from a distance, you can send them love and loving thoughts and feelings and still not have them in your life. But what's really important is that you are true to yourself and who you are, at your core and in your soul. And, like I said, if you don't know who that is, then try new things, try new food, try new experiences.

Speaker 1:

I was at the fair today with a friend and I went on the zipper. I don't know if you know what that is, but it is terrifying and the former me would never have even gone on this ride and it scared the shit out of me. I was with my friend's son and at one point I was screaming and it was flipping me around and jerking and it was crazy and we were just like in this little two person thing and he reached over and he like put his hand on me and like it was ending and he put his hand on my leg and put his head on my shoulder and he's like it's okay, like I'm being consoled by a 13 year old, which is amazing. I was like it scared the crap out of me, but I did it and I didn't die. And then I was really proud of myself for doing something that was scary and uncomfortable. And it was uncomfortable because it was unfamiliar, because I had never done it before and now I've done it and so it's a little more familiar to me. So it still was uncomfortable, but it's okay, because when we do things that make us uncomfortable, we grow and it's not.

Speaker 1:

There's a difference between like fear and danger. Like I wasn't in any actual danger but I was afraid. But I often talk about how fear is an illusion, like it's not real, like it was, it was fine, it was scary, but it was okay and I made it through and it was fine and it was fine. But when we show up the way other people expect us to, or the way we believe other people expect us to behave, we're not being true to ourselves. And when you are truly, truly living in your authenticity and again, for me that is not acting like my life is perfect, because it's not. I have my ups and downs, I have my shit that I deal with all the time and I've learned how to be very aware and very conscious of what's going on with me, how I'm feeling in my body, how I'm responding to things that are going on around me, how I am working in my body to calm it down by intentional breathing and doing various things to calm my nervous system down so that I'm better able to respond rather than react. But you know, I mean we all have stuff and I can't sit here and pretend like everything is just okay, amazing, all the time, because it's not. I enjoy my life and I'm having lots of fun as often as I can, and there are little things that I do that bring me joy on a regular basis. And I do bring fun and joy into my life every single day.

Speaker 1:

But living in a human life, but living in a human life, there are definitely things that happen and for the longest time I thought that that wasn't okay to share that. What would people think if I wasn't living this great, perfect life? And that's just not real. That's not real we all have. No matter how successful somebody is, depending on what your perception of success is. You know, no matter what is going on in somebody's life, they always have things that are happening and it may not make sense to you what's going. You know, something going on with somebody else might not seem like a big deal to you, but it's a big deal to them. But we all have our stuff. But it's how conscious and aware we are of what's going on with us and how we can work through those issues. So that leads me to. So I wasn't actually going to talk about authenticity, but that was the card that was pulled. So that was obviously the conversation that needed to happen.

Speaker 1:

But I wanted to follow up a little bit about the last episode that I did. I was talking about decluttering and going through things in my house. I'm clearing out my garage and my shed and things in my house and cleaning things up and organizing and doing all of this decluttering and multiple times in the last couple of days because I felt really been really in my head about things. My mind is constantly going and I meditate every day, but I'm not always able to quiet my mind the way I would like to my mind the way I would like to. Sometimes I don't feel like I'm hearing my intuition or my guides and that has really been almost like a. I get so caught up in the fact that I'm not allowing those messages to come through to me, that multiple times in the last few days it has come up that I need to declutter my mind in addition to decluttering my space. So I thought that was really interesting.

Speaker 1:

The universe is constantly giving us signs and I came across this quote Hold on, let me find it. This is really funny and it makes me laugh every time I see it. This quote Hold on, let me find it, because it's really funny and it makes me laugh every time I see it. I don't know who wrote it, but I had come across it on social media at one point. Every time the universe sends me a sign, I'm like, okay, but I think I'll wait for a sign of your sign. And it just makes me laugh because the universe is constantly giving us signs all the time, and it's about whether or not we're paying attention to them. And sometimes we pay attention to them and we dismiss them, and sometimes we pay attention to them and we follow them. And there are a few things in my life that I'm like Shan, this is pretty in your face. Maybe you should start paying attention, but the decluttering of the mind has come up.

Speaker 1:

A friend of mine sent me a spirit guide meditation that she recommended that I listened to, and so I tried that this morning and actually I tried it last night and I fell asleep listening. And then I did it again this morning and it was a little bit better. And so you can listen to the meditation and then do some journaling after, and there were some messages that came through that sometimes, when our mind is so caught up, your higher power is and trusting that everything. It's so funny because I know deep in my being and in my core that I'm always exactly where I'm meant to be. I know that everything is always working out for my highest good. I know all of these things, but sometimes I am not very patient because I want it to be happening right now, and when we focus on that it kind of keeps it away, you know.

Speaker 1:

So, in addition to decluttering your space and having an environment that feels good to you, it's also helpful to declutter your mind, and you can also do that by listening to meditations, journaling. Sometimes it's just getting the thoughts out of your head and releasing them and getting into a state of surrender and trust. So that's something that has been a focus for me learning to allow and release, and it's not really quieting your mind, but sometimes when I'm meditating, I focus on my breathing and that helps to get my brain to stop a little bit. So that's something that you can try if you find that to be something that doesn't come easy for you. So that's what I've got for you today. For you, so that's what I've got for you today.

Speaker 1:

Declutter your mind and step into your authenticity and just be you, because you're freaking amazing and there's nobody in this entire world that is exactly like you. And how fucking cool is that? You are uniquely you and it's amazing. So step into your magnificence, be your authentic self and declutter your mind and allow things to happen and unfold exactly as they are meant to, in the divine timing that they are meant to happen, because it always works out, even when we feel like it's not going to. When you look back, oh, that happened because of this. This is why that happened. Oh, I get it now. That's how it works. Hope you have a beautiful, beautiful day. If you have any messages, please feel free to text the show. There's a link in the show description and I will be back next week. Have an amazing week, much love.
