Welcome back to the Pure Possibilities podcast and welcome to the final episode of our Feeling your Way Into the New Year miniseries. Today, I just want to remind you that living your best life isn't about chasing the next big thing. It's about allowing and sustaining what truly, truly feels good for you. That's being honest with yourself, like what actually truly feels good for you. We have talked about core desired feelings, shifting our daily actions, navigating those bumps in the road throughout our day and building a lifestyle that feels real and true to who we actually are. So part of that is also getting to know yourself. Have you taken an opportunity to like, maybe try some new things and see what feels good? So let's talk about keeping that alignment alive even as we evolve and go through our day to day. So grab a drink, take a deep breath, center yourself and let's dive in, all right? So before we go forward, we're going to take a moment to reflect on what we've covered. So remember we discovered our core feelings, created daily practices and learn to overcome challenges. So what I would love for you to ask yourself right now is what have you learned about who you are, and which practice or insight really truly resonated with you the most and really sit with that and honor those moments, because each small shift that you make is truly a powerful step toward a more aligned life. So take a moment, place your hand on your heart and thank yourself for showing up and as you continue to do these practices because this is a practice, not a destination you are going to be more aware and acknowledge when you're not feeling as good as you want to feel, because as you continue to practice, like, you're going to know, like when something feels off, you'll know, and you are going to want, like when something feels off, you'll know, and you are going to want to do something about it to make that shift.
Speaker 1:So there's this huge myth out there that there's a magic, perfect state where everything just clicks and you're in alignment, and that's a bunch of bullshit, because the truth is it is literally an ongoing practice. So think about it like a little garden that you're tending to. Some days you're going to bloom and other days you need a little extra care and we need to water ourselves. We need to fill our cup, we need to overflow our cup so that when we are pouring into other people, we're not empty. We are not empty, so embrace the flow. Some days you're going to feel totally in sync and everything is going to be amazing, and then other days, life is going to pull you in different directions, and that is okay, that is perfectly okay and that's something to remember.
Speaker 1:Again, this is not about perfection. It's not about the end destination. It's about how you feel every single day and caring about how you feel. So the key is to keep checking in with yourself and trusting that when you feel off, you already know how to bring yourself back. So what are some practices you can do to sustain the alignment?
Speaker 1:It's not like this massive overhaul. We're literally making small, intentional choices every single day to stay connected to who we are, what we love, what feels good for us, and caring about how we feel. Setting aside a few minutes weekly or monthly to ask yourself truly and be honest with yourself how am I feeling? What's working? Maybe it's journaling, a mindful walk, the moments that keep you grounded, and if it's not working, then change it, because there's nothing worse than like deciding that you're going to do something every day because you think it makes you feel good, and then you start doing it and you don't feel good, or you set the intention to do it, and then you don't do it and then you start shitting all over yourself and then we're kind of back into that whole thought process behind setting New Year's resolutions. I mean, today is February 10th. Did you set a resolution? And if you did, how are you doing with it? Or did you choose to go down this path and follow how you want to feel? Again, one isn't necessarily better than the other, but I tell you, those resolutions really just mess with people every single year. So I just I don't buy into that.
Speaker 1:So, regular check-ins and then identifying what your non-negotiables are Think about practices that are going to always make you feel good. I'm telling you, I'm shaking my ass every day, like if you can take just three minutes and dance and move your body every day, why would you not do that? Because you can feel so good just doing that every day. If that's something that you love and if it's not, give it a try. It doing that every day. If that's something that you love and if it's not, give it a try, it's so much fun. So make your non-negotiables your priority. They are going to anchor you. There's got to be something, one thing that you can do every day that you absolutely know with 100% certainty it's going to make you feel better or feel good Not necessarily better, but feel good and allow flexibility.
Speaker 1:Like I said, if the routine no longer feels right, then adjust it and as you continue to grow and evolve, things that you enjoyed doing are possibly going to shift. And again, that's okay. We shift and flow as we evolve. You can always choose to change your course and then, when you're feeling off, you have those little micro alignments. Try a quick reset, take a deep breath or a gentle stretch or a moment of gratitude, and those small little steps can make a huge difference in your day.
Speaker 1:So when we drift, we're just kind of reviewing here. When we drift and that totally happens, recognize it. You're going to recognize when you're out of alignment because as you continue to focus on how you want to feel, you will absolutely be aware when you're not feeling the way you want to feel. So we're not judging. So instead of judging yourself, see it as feedback. It's just literally feedback on okay, what can I shift? What was I doing when I started to feel? Whatever I was feeling, you know, think about that feeling in your gut. Is it a hell yes or a hell no. Was I in an environment that didn't feel good? Was I talking to somebody that I started to not feel good? What was happening? What was going on? What can I do to shift that? And maybe I can't necessarily shift the circumstances, but I can shift how I'm responding and how I'm feeling by choosing to move towards one of my core desired feelings. Feeling by choosing to move towards one of my core desired feelings. Drifting is not failure. It's part of the ongoing journey. There is no end game here. It's literally how can I choose to move towards my core desired feelings every day? Okay, so let's bring it all together. So how can you make sure that this isn't just another series that you enjoyed and then forgot about? We're going to integrate everything, so write down your top three core desired feelings and practices that help you embody them.
Speaker 1:Keep the list visible as a daily reminder. You can put it on your mirror in your bathroom. You could put it as a screensaver on your phone. You could put it on a little sticky note in your car. You can put it on your refrigerator. Whatever works for you. Keep it visible as your daily reminder. Then consider checking in monthly. Have a reflection day and put it on your calendar. It could be the 15th of the month, it could be the first of the month, it could be the last day of the month, whatever works for you and just you know. Check in and then you're going to remember when you get to the end of the month, the end of the year, whenever you know did I spend a majority of my time? How did I spend a majority of my time feeling? Did I focus and prioritize my core desired feelings? You can also have small daily grounding practices, like a quick moment of mindful breathing makes a huge difference.
Speaker 1:Leaning on your people. Surround yourself with people who uplift you and honor your truth, the people that you can truly, truly be yourself with. Oh, I just got a little bit emotional when I said that I have some pretty incredible people in my life. I've had some things going on this week. I'm making some big, big changes in my life and I will be talking about that at a later time. I'm not going to share details right now, but know who your people are and lean on them when you need them. Sometimes, sharing your journey with a friend or mentor is all you need to stay inspired. So, before we wrap up, we're going to take one more deep breath because I think I need one actually right now and put your hand on your heart and remember you already have everything you need within you to create a life that feels as good as it looks. Trust yourself, honor your feelings and give yourself permission to feel good every single day.
Speaker 1:I had to get honest with myself recently and ask myself a question, a couple of questions. One of them was if I really truly want what I say I want, what am I willing to do to allow it to come into my life? It's a good question to reflect on. Okay, so I would love to hear from you what was your biggest takeaway from this journey, this little mini series. I'm going to do another mini series. I'm not sure what the topic is going to be yet, but I really enjoyed this. It helped me to focus in a little bit more and I hope that it was helpful for you. Thank you for understanding my bit of emotion here. I really truly feel that it's important to allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling, and I definitely had some emotions just come up now. It'll make more sense later, but for now I will just share that it's important to allow yourself to feel what you're feeling and when you feel like you need to cry, allow yourself to cry. Okay, I'm going to pull a card from the Magic of what If, card, deck volume two. Okay, I'm going to pull a card from the Magic of what If, card, deck volume two. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 1:What if I embrace change as an opportunity for growth and expansion? We are very, very change can be really scary, and it can also be really, really amazing, and there are times in our life where we choose to stay comfortable rather than step out into the unknown. And every single time, I get uncomfortable, I grow and I move on to the next, most magnificent level of myself. And what if I embrace change as an opportunity for my growth and expansion? That is absolutely the perfect card for me today, and I hope it was good for you too. Oh, my goodness, life is changing and it's amazing and beautiful and a little bit scary sometimes. But when we lean into trust and allow ourselves to choose what truly, truly feels good for us, that's when the magic happens. Thank you so much for listening. Have a beautiful, beautiful day and an amazing week, much love.
