What If You Allowed It To Be Easier? Feel Good Again Series #7
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “It shouldn’t be this easy”? Like maybe you need to struggle for it to count?
In the final episode of the Feel Good Again series, we’re shifting that belief.
Your peace, joy, and happiness? They’re inside jobs—not dependent on anyone else changing. When you stop outsourcing your well-being, you reclaim your power.
This episode is your reminder that ease isn’t laziness—it’s wisdom. Letting things be simpler, quieter, softer... that’s not weakness. That’s you listening to your needs. Even small choices—like saying no, resting without guilt, or making toast for dinner—can be acts of self-trust.

Welcome back to the Pure Possibilities podcast and to the final episode of the Feel Good Again series. Whether this is your first time listening or you've been with me each week, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for listening, for reflecting, for showing up for yourself in small, meaningful ways, because those little choices, each time you choose you, they matter way more than you may realize. So last week we talked about getting radically honest about what you really want, and this week we're going to take it a little bit deeper, because it's not just about naming what you desire. Because it's not just about naming what you desire. It's about remembering that your peace and your joy and your ability to feel good cannot depend on someone else changing or doing something different. This came up for me during the week and I was like you know. I think we need to circle back on this just a little bit, because whenever I have placed my peace, my joy, my happiness in someone else's hand and made it their responsibility, when I've expected them to behave differently so that I could feel better, I have always been disappointed, and maybe you felt that too. But honestly, your happiness, your joy, your peace, it's an inside job and we absolutely want other people in our lives. We want the connection, we want the love, we want the support, but no one else can be the source of your safety, of your happiness or the reason that you feel okay. Because if their behavior shifts and something happens, then your mood rises and falls and you end up on this roller coaster of emotions. And I mean honestly. If you think about it, do you want to be responsible for other people's emotions and their feelings, and whether they're happy or not? I know that I don't want that responsibility for other people. It's not my job and it's not your job either. So when you think about what you want, allow it to come from within you, not from the hope that someone else will finally do something differently, finally be someone different, finally do the thing that you want them to do. It's not their job, it's all an inside job. So today we are going to shift into what if you allowed it to be easier? To what if you allowed it to be easier?
Speaker 1:We are often taught, either directly or indirectly, that struggle equals worth, and when something feels too easy, it makes us a little bit uncomfortable, like it's something's going to happen, something's going to go wrong. We're not doing enough. We're hustling and proving and pushing and doing like you have to work for it and struggle, and otherwise it's not worth anything or you're not worth anything. So when ease shows up, we don't always trust it. But I would like to offer you a different perspective. What if ease isn't laziness? What if it's the wisdom within your soul that's calling to you to slow down, to rest, to allow it to be easy? What if it's your body saying you don't have to fight it today, just allow it to be? What if ease is nervous system safety, self-trust, the courage to honor yourself without needing to justify it to yourself or to anyone?
Speaker 1:This series was never about teaching you how to feel good all the time, because that is. This is the end of the show, and what we need to do is allow ourselves to feel what we're feeling, express what we're feeling in a safe and healthy manner. You can prioritize how you feel. You can build practices that help you check in and reconnect and respond, not react. It's about moving from being on this emotional autopilot into emotional awareness. Not pretending, not suppressing, just noticing and allowing yourself to pause and ask yourself how am I really feeling right now, in this moment, even if it's just for two minutes moment, even if it's just for two minutes, you remind your body it's safe to feel and that joy you've been seeking it doesn't feel quite as far away when you allow yourself to be and to be in ease.
Speaker 1:So what does ease look like? It might look like letting dinner be eggs and toast instead of a 20 step recipe. It might be saying no to one more commitment this week, to one more thing, adding one more thing to your calendar. It might look like lying down for 10 minutes without explaining yourself to anyone, choosing silence instead of all the noise, letting something be good enough. These are ease building moments. These are nervous system care in action. Sometimes they feel incredibly uncomfortable. Sometimes they feel incredibly uncomfortable, especially if you've been rewarded your whole life for output, effort, overgiving, working hard, hustling, do, do, do. You might second guess yourself and you might even sabotage the softness because part of you believes ease is weakness. I really want you to hear this. Ease is not laziness, it's wisdom, it's worthiness, it's the brave decision to not make things harder than they need to be.
Speaker 1:I've really been experiencing that a lot recently, actually, because I was doing, doing. I was working full time and I was doing the podcast and I was coaching and I was building this business and doing and, and so I stopped and took a pause because I was like, what would it feel like to just slow down a little bit and relax and allow my days to flow with what feels good, what feels feels inspiring, what feels creative? And I've noticed how much more creativity has come through, how the ideas have just come flooding in, and I feel contentment and peace and joy and all of these feelings that I wanted to have. That felt far away and they weren't, but I just slowed down a little bit and it's been beautiful. What if I allow it to be easier?
Speaker 1:All right, so before we get to our card poll of the week and our journaling prompts, I want to share a special gift that I created just for you, the listeners of the show, because I'm so grateful for you and I wanted to give you a special gift, and it's completely free and it's only available here, exclusively for listeners of the show. So earlier this year, we began with feeling your way into the new year, and now here we are, and it's June. We are halfway through the year. Maybe you've softened a bit, maybe you're still finding your way. Either way, this is for you.
Speaker 1:It's a free guided audio called Return to you, and I'm really excited about it. It's a short practice to help you pause and reconnect anytime you feel scattered, overwhelmed or disconnected. You can actually download it via a private podcast. It's available on most podcast players. There are some that don't allow for private podcasts. It's available on most podcast players. There are some that don't allow for private podcasts, but you can access it at podcastpurepossibilitiesnet. Slash return to you. Obviously, that's very long, so I will also include the link in the show description. You just click on it and it's completely free. You'll need to enter your email information to gain access, but other than that, it'll just connect with one of your favorite podcast players. So it's not available anywhere else, and it is my way of saying thank you and I hope it supports you whenever you need a moment to return to yourself.
Speaker 1:All right, so I would like to offer you a couple of journaling prompts, and I know that sometimes people don't like to write things down. I totally get it. We are obviously in an era of massive technology putting your pen to a piece of paper and just allowing your thoughts to flow and it gets it out of your head and onto the paper. So if you choose to do that, that would be amazing. If not, I would invite you to take a moment to just pause and reflect on these questions. So the first one is where am I making something harder than it needs to be? And question number two is what might it look like if I allowed it to be easier just for today? And now we're going to move on to your action step. Choose one thing today or this week and ask yourself what would make this feel a little easier, and let that be enough. Now we're going to pull a card from the Magic of what If? Card deck, volume two, available on my website, purepossibilitiespodcastcom. Here we go, all right.
Speaker 1:This week's question what if I love leaning into the discomfort of my growth and expansion? That's another thing that can be. You can allow it to be. It's not easy. The growth journey is not easy. There's ups and there's downs.
Speaker 1:But what if you love leaning into the discomfort of your growth and expansion? Whenever we get uncomfortable, we grow. I've truly learned to fall in love with it, because it's kind of fun to see when I make myself a little bit uncomfortable and I allow myself to move through that discomfort. What I end up with on the other side is it's information, it's data, it's an acknowledgement of. I'm really proud of myself for doing that. Look at what I learned. Wow, I realize I don't love that, or I do love this, and it's all part of the journey and that's what we're going for is enjoying the journey. You know All right.
Speaker 1:So you've made it.
Speaker 1:You made it to the end of the series and maybe, just maybe, you've made it back to made it to the end of the series and maybe, just maybe, you've made it back to yourself in a whole new way. There's no finish line here. This isn't about being done. It's about returning again and again to yourself, to presence, to truth. You don't need permission, you don't need a breakdown, you don't need anyone else to change or do anything different. You are already allowed. You are already enough. You are already worthy of feeling good, and while this is the end of the feel good again series, it is not the end of your story.
Speaker 1:I'll be back next week with more magic. If you have any ideas for what you'd love to hear in the next series, please text the show using the link in the show description. I can't reply directly to the text, but I read all of the messages and I could even give you a shout out on a future episode or your idea might be the next topic that we go over. I am here to serve you, so please let me know how I can help. Until then, allow it to be easier. However, that looks and feels for you Much love.
